Our story
Coffee should taste like where it came from.
We started Lumen in a 600-square-foot garage on the east side of Portland with a secondhand drum roaster and a notebook full of cupping notes. A decade later, the notebook is thicker and the roaster is bigger, but the obsession is exactly the same.
We build long relationships with the farms we buy from, roast in small batches to highlight each lot's character, and never let a bag sit on a shelf. What you brew at home is the same cup we'd be proud to pour for a friend.
